340 Students in Futures’ Care This
Year
Futures is watching over 340 deserving, disadvantaged public
high school students this year. It’s our job to help
them overcome the unfair challenges that place them at risk
of dropping through the cracks. Our national 32% dropout rate
offers frightening evidence of what’s at stake here.
We refuse to bow to such deplorable odds, instead offering
academic support, tutors, mentors and the promise of a college
scholarship down the road. We aim for 100% of these good kids
to earn a diploma and for at least 90% to go on to college.
A Snapshot Look at Who They Are:

8 in 10 are of minority status
7 in 10 are from single parent households
