MENTORING: A KEY SAFETY NET FOR CCF STUDENTS

Chester County Futures offers a unique one-to-one
mentoring program for low-income Chester County high school
students. We combine individual mentoring with comprehensive
after school instructional services and financial support,
all tailored to fit the needs of each individual student we
serve. Our mentors are dedicated people from all walks of
life and every age group who want to make a difference in
the life of an underprivileged teenager.
We offer mentors two options for getting involved:
- As a one-to one mentor, you will be matched with a specific
9th or 10th grade student. Mentors usually make, at minimum,
a two year commitment to their student.

- They can choose to share life experiences through our
'Mentor Talent Bank", perhaps coming into our classroom
only once to speak to an entire class of students or to
meet individually with a small number of students whose
needs suit the topic being presented. Find

Attorney, Family Man, His Mentee
Earned His College Degree This Year It
was the year 2000 when a young teen named Aaron met a
man who would change his life forever. A man who would
be there for him. Someone to turn to for sage advice.
For words of encouragement. For guidance when the road
through life turned rocky. The man Aaron met that year
was Villanova resident and attorney, David Rosenberg.

Exton-based GenTerra Corporation. As busy as his life
is, he answered the call to serve on the Board of Directors

Professor, Daddy, Mentor
Mentor Mike Parker's “proudest
moment” occurred in May 2005 when the young student
he’d been mentoring for three years graduated from
high school. He and then 15-year-old Eddie hit it off
right from the start when they were first paired up as
mentor and mentee under the auspices of Chester County
Futures. “My relationship with my student is great,”
he says. “He is a very nice and fun young man.”
