COATESVILLE, PENN., March 9, 2022 — The Lenfest Foundation is closing its 21-year partnership with local nonprofit organization, Chester County Futures (CCF), with a final gift of $100,000. The grant will aid the organization with funding its academic support and enrichment programs for underserved high school students in Chester County.
“The Lenfest Foundation has provided meaningful support of our work with underserved students in the county since 2000,” said Maria McDonald, Executive Director of Chester County Futures. “That’s 21 years of impactful and vital investment in the youth across our county. They have worked alongside Chester County Futures to narrow the educational gaps and increase college attainment for first generation students in the districts we serve.”
Since 2000, the foundation has awarded over $360,000 in contributions to CCF, and it stands to be one of the organization’s longest community partners since CCF’s founding in 1996. Throughout the course of its partnership, The Lenfest Foundation has made a profound impact on the program and the lives of the students it serves. The significance of its support will continue to be felt throughout the Greater Philadelphia region as the foundation prepares to cease grant funding and close its doors by the end of this year.
