Pennsylvania's Educational Improvement Tax Credit
What is the EITC Program?
The EITC Program is a government initiative that can lower your state tax liability up to $400,000 per year. When an approved business contributes to an EITC-designated organization for one year, they receive a 75% tax credit on the net cost of the donation. Contributing for two consecutive years can earn a business a 90% tax credit on the net cost of each donation. The EITC program is a “first come, first serve” program. A limited number of tax credits are available. Do you qualify for an EITC? Are you a business owner? If yes, then… Do you pay Corporate Net Income Tax, Capital Stock Franchise, Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax, Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax, Insurance Premiums Tax, or Mutual Thrift Institutions Tax? If yes, then great! You qualify! How does Chester County Futures fit in? The Pennsylvania government has designated Chester County Futures an Educational Improvement Organization. That means we have been recognized as an “innovative educational program” that enhances regular public school curriculum. By contributing to Chester County Futures through the EITC program, you not only help yourselves, but you help deserving low-income students throughout Chester County. IT’S A WIN-WIN! You want to apply? It’s easy! Go to EITC Business Application to complete a one-page application. For more information, visit www.dced.pa.gov.
