At Chester County Futures, our passion is to help motivated students in 9th through 12th grade get a head start to achieving their dreams.  Our after-school program helps students learn critical professional development and life skills such as financial literacy, time management, and self-advocacy through hands-on activities and learning experiences. We offer our students valuable resources and one-on-one support to find their path to their ideal future.

For example, the College and Career Expos were able to give me an idea of what adulthood would look like after graduating from high school. They showed me that even if you don’t plan to go to college or take a gap year, there are always job opportunities out there. What we offer beyond the classroom:

individual mentors

Mentors are caring adult volunteers matched with students of similar backgrounds or interests. Paired with a student for at least a one-year period, they develop a meaningful relationship with their student mentee providing them with the encouragement and support they need.

Career path exploration

From in-class career presenters to our annual College and Career EXPO events, our students have many opportunities to learn about a variety of paths and career fields while exploring their interests. 

​site visits

Students will have the opportunity to attend a variety of field trips throughout the program.  These site visits range from tours of college campuses and other post-secondary institutions to business outings and tours where students can learn about different industries and the careers they have to offer. 

scholarships

Students who successfully complete the program and pursue a post-secondary path  are eligible to apply for scholarship funds.
